Thought Sports coach Rob Preston finished 10th in the Coast to Coast Longest Day- the World Multisport Championships in 2018 and also has experience as support crew. For the training we will have other coaches also with experience at Coast to Coast and other multisport races.
The Gippsland region of Victoria is blessed with some of the best fast flowing white water rivers in Australia and a perfect training ground for events such as the Coast to Coast. Training venue options are within 2-4hrs drive from Melbourne CBD.
Exact locations and format of the training will be dictated by the local conditions of the rivers and may be changed at short notice.
We have put together several training camp options to cover the most important challenges of the event - the white water kayak, and the mountain run.
What will be involved?
We will cater for all levels of experience
White water kayaking - boats supplied, or bring your own.
Technical trail and off-trail running training
Road cycling (optional, not available in all locations)
Equipment- both required and recommended
Support crew duties
Numbers are limited and we will keep the coach to participant level low so you get the best attention
Minimum numbers for each course will need to be proceed with the course so please don't leave your registration to the last moment.
Individuals looking for personalised training at another time and location to suit you, please get in touch with Rob to discuss the options.
